It was an honor to be asked to create a unique logo for Cody Harriman, a local, reputable real estate agent located in central Maine!
Make it Simple is Best: A Logo Designed for Embroidery
Cody wanted a modern and minimalistic logo/lettermark that did not include any of the sometimes overused real estate elements, such as a house or a key. He also emphasized that he preferred a design that would work well in an embroidered design on a hat, shirt, etc. I tried to keep the design as simple as possible to achieve this. Logos that are too busy will not come out clearly in an embroidered design. My design can scale way up to be super large for a lawn sign, poster, or billboard, or down super small to the size of a postage stamp, and you will still be able to make it out.
A Logo That Reflects Cody’s Vision
Cody explained to me that his passion is selling oceanfront properties in Maine. He wanted a logo design that would subtly speak to his passion. I believe we have achieved that through this logo design!
The sketches
I may not be the best at sketching so please don’t judge my artistic abilities here too much! These were just some of my first thoughts when it came to designing Cody’s logo. He had given me some ideas about what types of logos he liked and some that he disliked. Believe it or not, the final logo concept came from the first little crazy sketch in the third row down from the top.
