Years of Service Celebration Flyer Design

Project Overview:

For the EMCC Years of Service Celebration project, I created an 8.5 x 11" flyer to promote the event, incorporating essential details and the school logo. The objective was to design an engaging visual piece that effectively communicated event information while maintaining a professional aesthetic.

Scope:

The project involved crafting a visually appealing flyer featuring event details such as the date (Friday, May 10th) and time (1 pm), along with the venue (Katahdin lawn, with a rain location at the Dining Hall). Additionally, the flyer highlighted the purpose of the celebration – honoring employees who have dedicated 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service to EMCC.

Key Elements:

To enhance visual appeal, I used a generic BBQ photo from a reputable stock photo site to complement the flyer's content. The typeface I chose to use throughout the poster was Montserrat in various font styles to create hierarchy and visual interest.

Key Takeaways:

This project provided experience in graphic design and event promotion, highlighting the importance of clear communication and visual storytelling. I feel as though the flyer served as an engaging tool informing the EMCC community about the upcoming celebration.
