As part of my 2-Dimensional Design Class, I redesigned the logo and package for Kicking Horse Coffee. I created four color logo concepts and two variations for each coffee blend, ensuring the designs were clean and reproducible across various mediums. Below you will find an example of their original design.

coffee logo redesign project

454 Horse Power [Dark]

Easily the most powerful concoction we've created. 454 Horse Power is an Indonesian-based heavy-bodied coffee with an earthy taste. Kicking Horse Coffee's lone female roaster took it upon herself to give the blend its now-infamous name because this blend gets fired up to 454 degrees. Be forewarned: don't tangle with this horse unless you're prepared to get bucked...

Tasting Notes: Deep, dark-roasted coffee with hints of cocoa

Guatemalan [Light]

This coffee comes from Guatemala's extraordinarily diverse Sierra De La Minas mountains in the heart of Central America. Known for its smooth and sweet notes, this coffee also brings some deeper, exotic flavors to the table. It's lightly roasted to retain a complexity well-appreciated by connoisseurs.

Tasting Notes: Hints of spice, chocolate, cinnamon, and smoke

Above, you will find the descriptions of each of the coffees I was asked to design logos and packages.

Keeping these characteristics in mind, here is what I came up with.
